Autobirds are coming. The combination of Angry Birds and Transformers, Angry Birds Transformers, has entered its soft-launch phase, available for free download on the New Zealand App Store.
In Angry Birds Transformers, our familiar fighters take cool transformation, Red as Optimus Prime and Chuck as Bumblebee, and for the first time are equipped with real fire power. And their mission is to use their new abilities to defeat the robotized eggs by the wicked EggSpark and save the Piggy Island from destruction.
You will play as auto-Red in the beginning and then gradually unlock the rest – not only other autobirds but also their feud Deceptihogs to take on the crazy Eggbots together.
Angry Birds Transformers is an action-packed auto-runner. It has tons of levels across multiple islands, each casting you into a side-scrolling adventure. There are various enemies randomly lined along the way. Some of them are hidden in the classic style as in the Angry Birds franchise, while some others shift into aggressive flying units. As you run forward, you tap to target enemies or explosives around, and shoot to destroy them. If triggering falling hazards, you can also transform into different vehicles based on the auto-birds/villains you play to dodge danger faster.
Like previous installments of this series, the game can be replayed many times due to the different difficulty tiers of every level. It also offers a sense of progression. When you advance, you can unlock stronger weapons, grasp new abilities and update your fighters.
Besides New Zealand, Angry Birds Transformers is available now in Finland as well and making its way to Australia and Canada later ahead of its global release on October 15, 2014. Will it arrive at Android phones and tablets? Yes, it has a slated release date for Android on October 30.
