The Asphalt franchise by Gameloft is having a brand new entry, Asphalt Overdrive, the first spinoff of this series and a free mission-based endless runner set in the 80s’ California.
Asphalt Overdrive is a fast-packed racing game packed with action. Built for the mobile gaming, it features very simple controls. You can just swipe to shift your car between the multiple lanes in the California streets. By side-swiping other cars, you build up your nitro that can be released at good timing to help get rid of chasing cops or gain a speed boost.
The game provides 30 fully licensed cool vehicles to earn and different parts to upgrade. With coins earned in the run, you can purchase the improvements and customize your fancy cars. While surviving as long as possible is the basic goal, in-game missions challenge you with different tasks from performing specific stunts to defeating the boss, from escaping the chase to hitting no obstacles.
In addition to single-player tasks, you can join the multiplayer fun online. Duel one friend on Facebook to a race, gang up with others to win weekly tasks, and participate in the League events and championships to reach higher rank in the leaderboards.
Asphalt Overdrive comes without a price tag and with IAPs. From energy points for continuous play to upgrades that let you play better, all can be purchased with real cash. It has arrived on the App Store and Google Play and is underway towards the Windows Phones.
