While it does not join other new games this week in the Thursday release schedule, Slitherine’s Battle Academy 2: Eastern Front surprises us delightfully by appearing on the App Store today, available to download for the iPad at the price of $19.99.
A sequel to the original Battle Academy in 2012, Battle Academy 2: Eastern Front is still set in the World War II battleground but focuses on the Russian lands. It features four new single-player campaigns including more than 30 missions in the new setting. Not only will the harsh environments and weather affect the war and battle tactics, newly added game features like infantry dash, trenches and fighter cover will make the combat more exciting, challenging and so engaging.
You can swap between Axis and Soviet sides in different missions and deploy over 130 units across the battlefield. After completing the solo campaigns, you can still enjoy the game for long with the multiplayer feature. What’s new in this front in Battle Academy 2 is that it implements a new cooperative multiplayer mode that lets you to fight together with a friend in a war.
As mentioned before, Battle Academy 2: Eastern Front is priced at $19.99 [download]. It is definitely in the high end in the mobile gaming but like other Slitherine’s works it is also worth that price.
