Candy Crush Soda Saga, the sequel to the smash hit Candy Crush Saga by King, quietly appeared on the Google Play, available for download in Canada, Sweden, Spain and the Netherlands. It’s a soft launch. Perhaps King is a little worried that this new saga does not excel over its first-born.
It’s basically old wine in a new bottle. Candy Crush Soda Saga has the similar match-3 puzzle games across 75+ levels. You will spot some same candies and a familiar play board from the revealed screenshots. Differences lie in the soda-soaked theme and the “soda effect” that makes sweets float up the board instead of the other way around.
Candy Crush Soda Saga will go global within this year and are on its way to the App Store in Canada.
