Drawn to Life is a unique combination of side-scrolling platform adventure with drawing mechanics. Draw your hero and everything you need in the adventure directly into the gameplay, and advance through levels in hand-drawn worlds where they perfectly blend in.
In Drawn to Life you will help the Paposa restore their village by finding back the stolen Book of Life. Every page of that book is torn into four pieces and scattered in the dangerous worlds outside their village. They need a hero. Then, draw them a hero!
With the various handy drawing tools you can draw your imagination wildly or create the hero based on templates. And that’s only a beginning. As you play as your hero on the side-scrolling adventure, you will come into many color palette signs that offer you the drawing opportunities. You can draw a snow shooter to fire at enemies and blocks or doodle a platform oozing with shadow goo. And you can draw a black, stormy cloud that floats around readily serving as your stepping stone to reach higher platforms. You draw and add them immediately to the gameplay. Stretch the shape, experiment with colors and edit more to your likings – you can create your customized adventure while enjoying it.
The drawing part aside, Drawn to Life prepares tons of stages across four distinct worlds (currently). The icy land is your first playground. There you fight a slew of unique enemies like the sliding penguins, black bat and ghost walkers from shadow goo, jump over gaps and collect coins, hearts and the templates (book page pieces) along the way. Every level has many places you can explore or bump into. Knock at the green door, slide down a hill, and climb up the cloud ladders – paying attention to the obscure entrances or paths, you can make delightful discoveries, be it a song or a trapped villager. With four unique worlds with tons of levels, the platform adventure itself is solid and enjoyable.
In the middle of adventure, you can interact with the Paposa beings. Rather, you take quests from them and help them out of various troubles. While the role-playing part is light in the game, the story unraveled through it ties the drawing mechanic and platform adventure together nicely and logically. [DOWNLOAD]
