Noodlecake Games unveiled their next mobile game titled Highrise Heroes in a trailer this Tuesday. It is a strategic word game created in collaboration with Fallen Tree Games, the developing team who created the puzzler Quell trilogy and recently launched Noon.
Watch the cool Highrise Heroes trailer
Highrise Heroes is set in a crumbling skyscraper shaken by a sudden earthquake. While it sounds unlikely, you have to get down from the top levels and step out of danger relying on your vocabulary. You need to make words on a grid of letters and barriers so that you can clear a path for yourself and all other people you meet halfway to descend. Of all the characters you meet, there will be friends, though looking weird, who will help and also enemies in masque that will hinder the escape.
Highrise Heroes looks great from the trailer. And the idea of blending strategies into word games is intriguing. It will have soundtrack composed by veteran Gavin Harrison who made music for many games like Gunslugs and Noon. And its storyline is written by Roseanne Rivers.
If you love the trailer and its idea, you can mark December 11th on your calendar. That’s its intended release date for iOS and Android. When it is out, it will be a free title supported by micro-transactions involving adverts and lives. If you want to get rid of the freemium-related elements, you have the option of a premium version via purchase.
