Minecraft developer Mojang has announced its next big title Scrolls, a premium collectible card game, will be coming out this Thursday, Dec. 11 on PC and Android tablets. Players who have already paid for their access to the alpha and beta will be shifted to the updated launch version in due time, while others need to purchase it for $4.99 to start the journey.
Scrolls is a card battler. Players in it will collect various units, or rather the titular scrolls, to add into their decks and duke it out in the single-player campaign or compete against other real-players. At launch, Scrolls will offer more than 380 cards and countless possibilities to experiment with their combinations. It will be a premium game but with additional in-app purchases for quick access of powerful scrolls. According to Mojang, all the scrolls available via IAP can be obtained via reasonable pricing for in-game gold. And there will be restriction on how much a player can spend to keep the game balance.
Scrolls has been in Beta for more than a year and is now finally ready to step out into the official launch. On PC and Android, I mean. What about the iPad version? Sorry guys, you just have to wait longer.
