From the creator of Ruzzle comes Ruzzle Adventure, a follow-up to the original hit word game. Ruzzle is good to be enlisted Top 10 word game across 145 countries, but Ruzzle Adventure turns out to be better with a prettier play board and richer gameplay variety.
Ruzzle Adventure takes a turn from the asynchronous multiplayer match-ups (in the original) to a single-player puzzle adventure. From the jungle to the swamp and beyond you will conquer an evolving world level by level with your great skills in forming words.
Pick up and play. The basic mechanics is to swipe across tiles to form words and earn points that will fill up the star meter. With every word correctly made, you earn score multipliers added to random letters on the board. More multipliers plus longer words equal higher scores. And if you can form a word with five or more letters you create a bomb tile, which if used will explode in a row or a column. That’s especially useful in boss fights.
It’s all about finding words. And you can definitely find fun in face of diverse challenges. Ruzzle Adventure is another reminder of how you can tread some new ground in a rigid field by stretching to an unlikely direction. Instead of pitting you against other players, the game puts your mastery of words and reflex into tests under different modes. You need to rush against time making words to earn enough points before the timer runs out. You will handle a different type of stress when water, or worse, the lava (that makes flooded tiles invisible) keeps rising upward as you try to make words and a way towards the top. Or, you take your time to make the very few moves count by forming big words.
Depending on the modes you have specific objectives to reach in every level. Find 10 words in 13 moves, score 1000 points within 50 seconds, or break 5 wood/gem/slime/stone tiles in 12 moves. And when the key & lock tiles appear, the level can be really tricky. To move a key to open a lock, you need to include the key tile in a word that ends with the lock tile and does not contain the key-blocking wood, stone or ice tiles at the same time. You will also unlock special Boss fights every 25 levels. To beat these tough figures you need bombs, which means, words longer than four letters.
As you progress you can unlock four types of boosters. With them, you can detonate a bomb without swiping it through a word, shuffle the board when you get stuck, escape the flood by super jump, or swap a tile to get your desired formation. But you can get them only by IAP.
Overall, Ruzzle Adventure is an addictive word game that stands out with its great variety of gameplay. [DOWNLOAD]
