Handelabra Games announced the official release date for the mobile version of the Sentinels of the Multiverse card game to be October 16, 2014. By then, the video game version will hit the App Store, Google Play and Amazon AppStore with a price tag of $9.99.
For players not familiar with the card game, Sentinels of the Multiverse is an award-winning title where players as heroes join forces to take on villains. This new video game version is described as a “100 percent translation” of the original including all content from the Sentinels of the Multiverse Enhanced Edition.
The story premise of the game is the rise of Baron Blade, the son of the Legacy Line who is planning to slam the moon into the earth and destroy this generation’s Legacy Paul Parsons in order to revenge his father. The game goal is to stop Baron Blade as well as his followers and foil their crazy plan.
Sentinels of the Multiverse: The Video Game will provide a cast of 10 iconic heroes and 4 infamous villains, and features the intense card battle in 4 dynamic environments from the Insula Primalis way to the Wagner Mars Base. All content will be available directly after purchase, without IAP. And the developers are planning to add expansion packs as DLC and other updates that enrich the gameplay with new features like online multiplayer.
In the announcement, Handelabra Games also mentioned that an exclusive promo card, the Super Scientific Tachyon with an unpredictable power called Experiment, would be offered for the first 5,000 purchasers when it’s launched.
