Swing Copters, the follow-up to the mega-hit Flappy Bird, is out now on the New Zealand App Store and coming to other regions worldwide later because of different time zones.
Swing Copters features the similar art style as its precursor with its simple and colorful graphics. And the core mechanics is also more or less the same except that this time players need to control a little figure wearing a propeller hat to fly upward instead of forward.
So it is vertical challenge this time. And also new to this sequel, swinging hammers hanging on each side of the beam are making the flight more challenging. Players need to not only navigate through the narrow paths but also eschew the swinging hammers there. In-game control remains to be simple tapping. If players are able to survive higher, score high and earn 4 or more medals, they will be able to unlock new characters.
Swing Copters is available to be downloaded on iPhone and iPad, for free. And the only in-app purchase is for ads-free. [NZ App Store]
