Funcom has quietly released The Longest Journey Remastered, the iOS port of one of the classic adventure games on PC, on the App Stores of New Zealand and Australia. It is quite a surprise because no clues have ever hinted its completion and arrival to the mobile gaming since the developer announced the Remastered version back in 2011.
The Longest Journey Remastered is mobile-optimized with re-arranged interface and simple touch-controls. But the story and puzzle-filled twin worlds are not changed. You will still play the role of April Ryan, a young art student who has the power to shift between worlds exploring both as well as her own inner depth. There will be challenging and clever puzzles that rack your brain and a cast of unique characters to meet in the journey.
Given the release in New Zealand and Australia is not publicized, there is the possibility that The Longest Journey Remastered is still in soft-launch period. If so, players in other countries will have to wait for a while. And if not, the game should be hitting the US and UK tonight.
The Longest Journey Remastered is priced at $8.99 in the New Zealand App Store, equal to $6.99 USD. [NZ Download Link]
