Transformers: Age of Extinction is the official mobile game for the TRANSFORMERS movie that hit the theaters on June 27, 2014. Rather than being an Action or RPG title, this game turns out to be a mission-based runner with fast-paced levels and casual style robot fights.
Transformers: Age of Extinction tells the classic heroic story that sees six Transformers band together to protect the earth from a new threat from old enemies. In the game, you will control Bumblebee first on the quest and then gradually unlock the other five autobots to use their special moves.
The heart of the gameplay is the fast-paced, level-based mission. Every level has three goals that challenge you to complete different tasks concerning ranged/melee kills, scores, collection of energy and so on. And once completed, they reward you with one star each and varied items from Energon Pack to Shards to Synergon. Since these items are vital in character upgrades, they offer another reason, besides stars, for replaying.
When a battle begins, you can control your Transformer to perform several moves by tapping buttons or tilting your device. Morph into the mobile version to chase escaping enemies and get them by surprise in sudden melee attack, jump over barriers or enemies attacks while leaping forward, fire at enemies in the distance and freely switch to melee fight when necessary. In-game control is simple and tight so that it stays out of your way. But it still requires coordination and good calls to carry out the right moves to beat down the Deception foes.
Character customization is another important part in Transformers: Age of Extinction. You can level up the Autobots in battle and upgrade their HP and attack power by using shards and other artifacts along with stars. Moreover, you can buy and get better gear and weapons for your fighters in the Space Bridge, if you have the very items like Synergon and Green Energon Pack or spend real cash.
The battle scene in Transformers: Age of Extinction is rendered in a 3D cinematic style with the head-to-head crash, explosive fire and the mobile transform. But that is generally casual and integral of the mission-based runner. [Free Download]
