It seems that every blockbuster wants a tie-in game nowadays. We covered the Godzilla: Strike Zone couples of days ago, and today we received the newsletter about the upcoming Transformers: Age of Extinction from DeNa, the official iOS/Android game of the namesake movie which is also the first movie-licensed game of DeNa.
Transformers: Age of Extinction – The Official Mobile Game turns out to be a mission-based combat runner game where players assume the role of AUTOBOT heroes to take on various enemies as they dash and change forms in the path while collecting weapons and other boosters along the way.
According to Barry Dorf, vice president of partnerships and alliances at DeNa, “The TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION mobile game will deliver an explosive interactive entertainment experience on mobile devices for TRANSFORMERS fans and consumers looking to extend their movie experience after the credits roll. This isn’t your typical runner game; this game puts the player in the middle of an action-packed Hollywood blockbuster where it’s destroy or be destroyed!”
Transformers: Age of Extinction is in development now and will be released “later this year” for all devices based on iOS and Android as a free-to-play title.
