Tonight the App Store has seen the release of two premium titles, Manuganu 2 by Alper Sarikaya and Oscura: Second Shadow developed by Chocolate Liberation Front and published by Surprise Attack Games. And both titles happen to be platform-adventure titles and also sequels to their own original.
Price: $1.29 (NZ)
Manuganu 2 is a continuation of the side-scrolling platform-adventure in the original. The running boy Manuganu starts a new bumpy journey on the quest of saving his best friend.
Manuganu 2 provides 40 brand new levels over multiple intriguing scenes not only in the ground but also in the air and sea. Accordingly, Manuganu will be able to swim and fly in specific scenes as he does his old tricks – running, jumping and rope-climbing – on the land. In the side-scrolling adventure, players need to control the boy to evade hazards like the swinging hammers and poisonous jellies and defeat the various foes and epic bosses using the halt feature. So timing still rules!
Oscura: Second Shadow
Price: $3.79 (NZ)
Oscura is back on a new quest to restore light to the Driftlands. The Aurora Stone was stolen from the lighthouse by an unknown being and the land is sunken in darkness and destruction. As the keeper of the lighthouse, our unlikely hero sets off on the adventure in Oscura: Second Shadow.
Oscura: Second Shadow is a wonderfully strange and dim world. The only light come from the glowing hands of Oscura and the shards of the stone scattered along the path. As Oscura runs and advances, he can only see surrounding areas with the rest of the world and potential danger lurking in the eternal darkness. The dance of light and shadow creates a beautiful silhouette effects seen in the original. And it also adds more unpredictability and so requires quick reflex to evade sudden hazards. That is even more so since the boy is armless with none but his own wits and running skills to rely on.
Oscura: Second Shadow prepares 20 hand-drawn levels with unique traps, monsters and danger each. Every level is a customized challenge and some levels may be played more than once to reach full four stars while beating the level objectives for time, shards, cogs and zero-death.
